1986: Training in Therapeutic Endoscopy with Prof. Nib Sohendra for 6 months in Hamburg University Hospital, Hamburg, West Germany.

1989: Training in Oesophageal Surgery from Prof.Hiroshi Akiyama for 3 months in Toronomon Hospital, Tokyo, Japan. Fellowship of the International society for diseases of the esophagus (ISDE).

1991: Training in Laparoscopic Surgery from Prof.Mohan Chellappa for 6 weeks in Singapore General Hospital, Singapore.
